About Me

Hey there, I’m Audrey!

I’m a Registered Dietitian and the founder of Functional Nutrition Origins, a private practice I’ve been running for almost 10 years in Bucks County, Pennslyvania.

My background is in functional nutrition — which just means I look at the root causes of what’s going on in your body rather than just treating symptoms. I have a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine, a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, and I’m licensed in Pennsylvania, but honestly what I’m most proud of is the women I get to work with every day.

Gut health is at the core of everything I do — the microbiome, digestion, and how what’s happening in your gut ripples out into every other system in your body. Things like IBS, IBD, SIBO, celiac disease, diarrhea, constipation, and chronic bloating are areas I work in regularly, and so is the gut-autoimmunity connection, which affects far more women than most people realize.

From there my work extends into the systems that gut health directly influences — hormones (think cortisol, menstrual health, perimenopause, and menopause), metabolism (insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, and blood sugar regulation), and body composition (building muscle, reducing fat mass, and feeling strong and energized in your body again). It’s all connected, and that’s exactly how I approach it.

I also have a real passion for supporting women in the postpartum season. Not just the first few weeks — I’m talking about that first year or two (or even three) after having a baby, when your body is still recalibrating and you’re the last person on your own list.

My sweet spot is working with women who feel like they’re doing everything right but their body just isn’t responding — weight that won’t budge, energy that crashes, bloating that won’t quit, hormones that feel off. I help women figure out exactly what their body needs right now — not a generic diet plan, but a real sustainable approach built around their actual life.

Outside of work I’m a mom of four boys, which keeps things very real and very busy. I understand firsthand what it’s like to try to take care of yourself when everyone else needs you first.

If you’ve been frustrated with your digestion, your energy, your metabolism, or just feeling like yourself again — that’s exactly who I’m here for.

“Like the rising sun, may you nourish yourself with self-love, feeding your spirit, and nurturing your body, for every woman deserves to bloom with grace.”

My Story

Throughout my life, I’ve been navigating my own health challenges, including a history of IBS symptoms, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, and the rollercoaster of mood issues intertwined with my menstrual cycle—starting as early as my teenage years, when I had no idea it wasn’t the norm. These experiences have profoundly connected me with the challenges that women on similar journeys endure, fostering a deep understanding of their struggles. Additionally, having experienced birth trauma and the overwhelming pressures of motherhood, I can empathize with moms who find themselves stressed and striving to be supermoms. I’ve walked the same path, facing my struggles head-on. I don’t advocate for diet perfection; instead, I believe in realistic, sustainable approaches. I share genuine, real-life guidance from my own experiences, aiming to empower others by showing them that perfection isn’t the answer—it’s about finding balance and nourishment for both the body and the soul.
