How are you operating during the COVID-19 pandemic?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I am conducting most of my counseling appointments via phone or online through my portal’s video chat feature (your choice!).

In-person appointments are reserved for clients who are completing Inbody Body Composition testing.

Masks are required according to the CDC guidelines.

Are there any forms I should fill out before my first appointment?

Once you schedule your first appointment as a new client, you will receive an e-mail to join our client portal.  Within our portal, you will be directed to fill out new client registration forms and health history forms electronically prior to your appointment. You will also complete a 3 day food record before your first appointment.

How often will we meet in your program?

We will usually meet every 2-3 weeks.  You will also be able to utilize your portal to communicate with me as much as you would like to, in addition to recording your food intake for my review and feedback.

What is your cancellation policy?

If an appointment is scheduled and you do not provide any notice of cancellation and do not show to the appointment, you will be billed $50.00.

As a working mom, I understand flexibility and sometimes there are unforeseeable circumstances that may lead you to rescheduling last minute.  I will not charge for this unless it becomes a frequent habit, then I will charge $25.00 if a 24 hour notice is not provided.

I don’t live close by. Can we meet through video or phone?

Sure we can! Our client portal meets HIPAA regulations and is a secure spot for sharing sensitive information and meeting virtually.

Can I just get a test completed without being a client?

No. We only utilize testing for clients enrolled in our programs.

Occasionally, I will offer testing outside of nutritional programs. Join my e-mail list so that you get notified.

What should I expect to pay? Can I use my insurance?

The fees for each program vary due to costs associated with different tests included.

If you would like to use your insurance, I will happily bill your insurance for the face to face counseling part of the program (this is what is actually billable to insurance as medical nutrition therapy).  Parts of the program not covered by insurance (testing, support, test interpretation and protocol development) are due at registration (50%) and at your first appointment when we have test results and can get started (50%).

Tests that I use are not covered by insurance.  Therefore, I include test costs within your total program price.

I accept the following insurances and this is our experience with coverage:

Aetna covers 10 visits in a year

Personal Choice covers 6 visits in a year

Blue Cross Blue Shield and Highmark cover 6 visits in a year

The procedure code for medical nutrition counseling is 97802 and 97803. If needed, my National Provider Identifier (NPI) is 1427306034.
